Man, Jason is watching this page closely! Less than 24 hours after I posted about his linkedin page, he deletes it! It’s a good thing that Google had a cache of it for me. Jason, you really need to settle down. It’s really okay for other people in the world to utter your name. You don’t need to spaz out and take your shit down just because some guy you don’t like happened to see it.
I’ve got a Linkedin page too and if I find out that you visit it, I won’t freak out and take it down. Social media sites exist so that people can visit them. Even strangers. Do you know how much hatred is directed at me, just because I put all my shit online? A lot! People write hateful, hurtful things about me on my Facebook and YouTube every single day. I get insulting emails often. But I don’t start crying about it and take it all off the net. That would be stupid of me. Quit being a pussy, Jason.
Yesterday I took a look at Google, wondering how this page is doing in the rankings for the search “Jason Heckathorn.” I’m in the top 10 results, but still near the bottom. While looking at this, I noticed another Jason Heckathorn page in the top 10 – it was cd.textfiles.com/plamedia2008/Sound/Jason%20Heckathorn/. It looks like Jason Scott ended up with a copy of the PLA Media CD a few years ago and put it up online for everyone to see. But wait…this is weird…the Jason Heckathorn directory is supposed to contain all the prank calls related to him, but it’s empty. Except for a single file called removed.txt. When I open it, it reads this:

It’s standard Jason practice to scour the net for his name and harass any website that mentions him, but this is the first time I’ve seen a hint of Jason using someone else to help him out. Thinking he might just be impersonating someone from this haltabuse.org place, I write an email to Jayne A. Hitchcock, asking her if she’s really the one who wrote that email to textfiles.com. This morning I got the following reply from her:

I wrote back to her, telling her that she was scammed by Jason. I told her how he searches the net for child pornography and how he hit his mother and stole from her. How he’s been arrested a few times for forcible entry into places. About how he’s been evicted many times now, not because anyone harasses him, but because he creeps out all the neighbors and causes problems for people. I told her how he’s been in nonstop legal trouble for pretty much his entire adult life. I know Jayne won’t listen to me because then she’ll have to cope with the realization that she helped out the kind of person that she wants to stop and that she was the “adult bully” in this situation, forcing the net’s most awesome archive site to remove its content. It’s okay, Jayne, you win some and you lose some.
4/22/2011 UPDATE: Oh man, so much stuff today. I added Jason on Twitter and he immediately made his Twitter private. And it’s funny, because he created his Twitter account just recently, for the sole purpose of talking smack about some bar that 86′ed him. He’s got a blog for this purpose too, but I’m getting ahead of myself. So much information to deal with these past two days. I’ll probably never get it all posted. Sudo has been amazing in tracking things down. I’ll get into that in the next update. For now, though, check out this email that Jayne wrote to me:

Can you believe that? She thinks I’m not allowed to post emails that are sent to me. She’s just like Jason Heckathorn, thinking she can bully people into removing completely legal things from the internet. Your emails will be here forever, Jayne. Don’t get mad at me just because you made the mistake of helping a criminal harass some website. Maybe you should get an account with publicdata.com and check out the backgrounds of people before you “help” them.
